Terms & Conditions
Effective October 29, 2026Please read these terms before booking. They explain how booking, payments, cancellations, photo delivery and image usage work for ThrowbackLens sessions and events.
01Agreement
These Terms & Conditions apply to every session, event and service booked with ThrowbackLens ("we," "us," "our"). By booking through our website or calendar, paying for a service or attending a session, you ("you," "client") agree to these terms.
02Our services
ThrowbackLens offers mobile Y2K-themed portrait sessions and event pop-up photo experiences. We travel to your location with backdrops, lighting, props and camera equipment. What's included in each session is described on our website at the time you book. Event services are described in the written quote we send you.
03Booking and payment
Your session is confirmed once you complete booking through our online calendar and your payment goes through. Prices are listed on our website. Event pricing is quoted in writing based on the size and length of your event, and the quote is valid for 14 days.
Payments are processed by a secure third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
04Travel fees
Travel is included within 15 miles of our base in Tampa, Florida. Locations farther than 15 miles are charged at $1.50 per mile, and we'll confirm that amount with you before your session.
05Rescheduling and cancellations
Rescheduling: You can reschedule once at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice, depending on availability.
Cancellations: If you cancel at least 72 hours before your session, you'll get a full refund minus any payment processing fees. Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the session, and no-shows, aren't refundable, though we'll try to find you a new date.
Late arrivals: Sessions start and end at the booked time. If you arrive late, we can't extend the session past its scheduled end.
06Weather, location and setup
If weather or safety conditions make an outdoor session impractical, we'll reschedule at no cost to you. You're responsible for making sure we're allowed to shoot at your chosen location, including any permits or venue permission. Please plan for about a 10×10 foot area with access to a standard power outlet.
07Photo delivery
Couples sessions include 15–20 edited photos, delivered through a private online gallery within 7 days of your session. Delivery times for events are stated in your quote. We choose and edit the final images in our signature style. Raw or unedited files are not included.
Please download your photos as soon as they're delivered. We keep gallery files for 60 days after delivery, and after that we can't guarantee they'll still be available.
08Prints and products
Prints are produced to order. Colors can look slightly different on paper than they do on a screen. If a print arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days and we'll replace it.
09Copyright and personal use
ThrowbackLens owns the copyright to every photo and video we create. When we deliver your gallery, you receive a personal-use license, which means you can:
- Print your photos for yourself, family and friends
- Share them on your personal social media (tagging @throwbacklens.jpeg is always appreciated)
You may not sell the images, use them for commercial or advertising purposes, or submit them to contests without our written permission. Please don't add filters to our edits or crop out our watermark.
10Portfolio and social media use
We may share photos and videos from your session or event on our website, social media and marketing materials. If you don't want your images shared, email us at [email protected] before your session and we'll keep them private. If you change your mind later, tell us and we'll remove them from anything we control going forward.
11Minors
Anyone under 18 needs a parent or legal guardian to book the session and be present for it. The parent or guardian agrees to these terms on the minor's behalf.
12Props, equipment and conduct
Our props and equipment are part of the experience, so please treat them with care. Damage beyond normal wear may be charged at replacement cost. We may end a session early if we see unsafe behavior or harassment, or if conditions become unsafe. Sessions ended for these reasons aren't refunded.
13Limitation of liability
We take great care with every session. If something outside our control, such as an illness, emergency, or equipment or data failure, prevents us from delivering your photos, we'll offer to reschedule. If rescheduling isn't possible, we'll refund what you paid for the affected service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Hillsborough County, Florida.
15Changes and contact
